Tributes to the Late DLG Dawn Phillips
DG Trevor Dunn
This "Rose" have left us, or have been called to higher service in another Land at another level !
It is with sadness and deep regret that I announce the sudden passing of our KFJ Director & Distinguished Lt. Governor Dawn Phillips of the Kiwanis Club of Mandeville. Dawn died earlier today Friday November 30, 2007 at the Hargreaves Memorial Hospital in Mandeville, Jamaica W. I. She was recovering from a recent surgery/operation at the Tony Thwaites' Wing of the University Hospital in Kingston in mid September and we were heartened to have seen her at Division 23 West's Council Meeting on Sunday, November 18, 2007.
Her son, her sister Fern, Brother Malcolm, Family and Friends need our love, support and understanding at this time. As soon as they are able to provide more information and details of the funeral arrangements, we will pass it on.
Yes, we have lost a dear Friend, a Sister and a consummate Kiwanian BUT the Good Lord knows "the Protocol" best.

Kiwanis Club of Hellshire
The Kiwanis Club of Hellshire is gravely saddened by the news of DLG Dawn's passing. We have lost a dynamic and engaging individual as well as a truly distinguished stalwart of a Kiwanian. Our condolences go out to her family and club members.
A shadow hangs over us all by this unexpected passing. May Dawn rest in peace even as she is greatly missed.
May God continue to guide, reassure and sustain us all.
DLG Lennon Campbell
On behalf of the class of Presidents & Secretaries for the administrative
06-07 I would like to take this oppotunity to express deepest condolences to
the members of The Kiwanis Club of Mandeville and the family of the the late
DLG Dawn Phillips. I'm so saddened by her passing as I've worked very close
with her as a Kiwanian and have learnt alot from her.
She served the administration of 06-07 in the capacity as Divisional Chair
for Education & Protocol and this she did with all her might as this area
was of great concern to her. She visited every club within the Division
along with a delegation from her club on all her visits and really did
Kiwanis proud in her presentations.
DLG Dawn has served Kiwanis as a true soldier of Kiwanis International and
the entire Division 23 West mourns her passing has she has left us with a
wealth of knowledge for us to continue to excell and do great things as
Kiwanis Clubs. I do hope that at some point in time the Kiwanis Clubs within
Division 23 West will come together and create a foundation in her memory so
that her name will always be remembered as one who served this noble
organisation with distinction.
Rest well Dawn you have done your work here on earth and I'm sure that our
heavenly father will welcome you into his Kingdom with open arms.

My Fellow Kiwanians and Friends:
Our division and Kiwanis Fraternity is in shock and mourning due to the untimely passing of our dear and stalwart Kiwanian Dawn. It will take us quite a while to embrace the fact that she has left us but the wonderful thing is that she has left many wonderful memories and the example of what a true and dedicated Kiwanian could and should be.
I was very touched by DLGE Rudi's comments about Dawn so I have compiled a power point presentation to reflect some of these comments and our deep feelings of her.
